We are looking for a GPHC registered, NHS Hospital experienced Aseptic Pharmacy Technician to work with our NHS Hospital client in West London. If you’re looking for your next challenge, congratulations! You’ve just found it!

A Day in the Life of an Aseptic Pharmacy Technician.
- Provide specialist technical support to Senior Pharmacist Technical Services and the Chief Technician of Technical Services.
- Assist in the initial and ongoing training within the aseptic department for new and existing staff members.
- Train and develop the skills of staff within the department including presentation of teaching materials and sharing practical knowledge.
- To manage and supervise the provision of pharmacy aseptic services especially in the provision of chemotherapy and total parenteral nutrition (PN) reconstitution to all areas of the hospital as well as for external customers.
- Work as part of a large manufacturing team
- Assisting the chief technician in monitoring that all staff adhere to standard operating procedures
- To act as a role model for junior members of the team, and supervise as necessary
- Abide by GPHC standards of conducts, ethics and performance, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations
- To select, label and dispense correct items in accordance with SOPs to ensure safe supply to patients under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Dispensing, accuracy checking and balance checks of controlled drugs
- Checking the accuracy of inpatient prescriptions dispensed by other pharmacy staff, identifying and ensuring correction of all dispensing errors or items not acceptable to release, to prevent these reaching the patient.
Requirements and qualifications required for this role:
- Current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician
- NHS Hospital experience
- Some kind of previous experience working as an Aseptic Pharmacy Technician
- Ability to communicate efficiently and work well with the team!
Working hours and contract duration:
This position will require you to work from Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:15pm, 45 min break. The contract is for 6 months minimum.
