Hunter AHP are currently seeking a skilled Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join an NHS hospital in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with previous dispensary experience to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within a dynamic NHS environment. The role is ongoing and offers a hourly rate of £25 - £28 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medications for inpatient and outpatient services
• Ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions
• Providing expert advice on the use of medications to patients and healthcare teams
• Supporting inventory management, including stock control and ordering medications
• Ensuring compliance with NHS and hospital protocols and standards
• Assisting in maintaining a smooth running of the dispensary department
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care

Requirements:

• Previous dispensary experience in a hospital or NHS setting is essential
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and support patients and staff
• Full-time availability for ongoing hours
