Position: Locum Dispensary Pharmacist, Band 6/Band 7

Availability: 3, 4, or 5 days per week (flexible)

Hourly Pay: Pharmacists with previous dispensary experience can be considered at Band 7 (£27 - £30 per hour). Applicants with community experience will be considered at Band 6 (£24 - £27 per hour)

About the Role:
Hunter AHP is currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join the team at an NHS hospital in South London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacist to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the dispensary and ensuring high-quality pharmacy services to patients. The hospital is looking for someone to start ASAP, with flexible working days (3, 4, or 5 days per week).

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medication and ensuring the accurate supply of prescriptions
• Providing support and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and national standards
• Liaising with clinical teams to optimize patient care
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting the overall efficiency of the dispensary service

Requirements:

• GPhC registered Pharmacist
• Previous experience working in a hospital dispensary setting (NHS experience preferred)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Immediate availability to start (ASAP)
