Locum Oncology Pharmacist - NHS Hospital, Essex
Location: Essex, NHS Hospital
Hourly Rate: £32 to £36 per hour
Position: Ongoing, 3/4/5 Days Per Week

Hunter AHP are currently seeking a skilled Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join an NHS hospital in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist with oncology experience to contribute to a dedicated multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to cancer patients. The role offers flexible working hours, available for 3, 4, or 5 days per week, and is ongoing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing and reviewing chemotherapy and other oncology medications
• Providing expert advice on cancer therapies and medication management
• Supporting clinical teams in optimizing treatment plans for oncology patients
• Conducting medication reviews, ensuring the safe use of oncology drugs
• Managing the preparation and supply of injectable oncology medications
• Providing counselling and education to patients on their treatment regimens
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for oncology patients

Requirements:

• Previous experience in oncology pharmacy is essential
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Strong clinical knowledge of oncology medications and treatment regimens
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Flexibility to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week on an ongoing basis
