Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute break)
Start Date: November 2024
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Rates: £18ph-£24ph
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team at a leading private hospital in West London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across various wards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the clinical team in the management of medicines on the wards.
- Conduct medication reconciliation for patients at admission and discharge.
- Review and update medication records and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Provide guidance to nursing staff regarding medication administration.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting medication-related incidents.
- Participate in patient education regarding their medications as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly with ward-based experience.
- Strong knowledge of medicines management practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
