Job Advertisement: Locum Pharmacist
Location: South Wales
Pay: £33 - £45 per hour
Contract Length: 3-6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-time (5 days a week)

We are urgently seeking an experienced Locum Pharmacist to join a healthcare team in South Wales on a 3-6 month contract, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pharmacist to make a difference in both ward-based and dispensary settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ward coverage: Providing clinical pharmacy services to hospital wards, including medication reviews, supporting patient care, and ensuring optimal drug therapy
  • Dispensary duties: Dispensing prescriptions, managing medication stock, and ensuring safe and accurate distribution of medications
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
  • Providing advice to healthcare professionals on medication management and best practices
  • Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards

Key Requirements:

  • GPhC registration (essential)
  • Experience in ward pharmacy and dispensary settings
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience with medication management
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Available to start ASAP for a 3-6 month contract
  • Full-time availability (5 days a week)
