Locum Band 5 (ACT/MMT) Pharmacy Technician – Staffordshire

Hunter Gatherer AHP have an opportunity for a pharmacy technician to join an esteemed NHS hospital service in Staffordshire. The Chief Pharmacy technician for the department is looking for a qualified ACT to join the inpatient dispensary team on a locum basis! This is a 6-month ongoing contract as this is a long-standing gap within the department.

As an accredited checking technician, the post holder will be responsible for the final check of patient’s medication & will also participate in the dispensing/supply of cytotoxic drugs. All activities within the dispensary are carried out in line with trust procedures and standard healthcare guidelines. The responsible technician will also be expected to counsel patients on their medications and take accurate drug histories in a clinical setting. The post holder will also be responsible to conduct medication adherence reviews and offer support to the inpatients and outpatients. This will be a mixed clinical/dispensary-based post that is split 50:50 in regards to daily duties.

–       £16-22 per hour depending on experience
