Hunter Gatherer AHP have several very exciting locum opportunities based with a privately run prison service located in Hertfordshire (please enquire for exact locations), for up to x2 Locum Pharmacists (community experienced applicants welcome to apply!) to join the prison dispensary and wing teams from mid September onwards, on ongoing contracts! PLEASE NOTE – some form of previous prison or hospital experience is desireable, however not an outright necessity, so community experienced Pharmacists or newly qualified Pharmacists are also welcome to apply as training will be provided here! There is free parking available on site. This is a fantastic chance for career progression at speed, as training will be provided across the various dispensary aspects of the role depending on your skill set. 
The role will be to cover the dispensary, assisting with dispensing and screening, and also to complete the medicines administration work in the medicines hatch which is on the wings. The wing work will involve handing prescription mediciation to prisoners via a small hole in the medicines hatch door. This will be the majority of the work. 
The working pattern is 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch) however they may be flexible on these times, and also part time working will be considered, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week would be fine here. There is also weekends available too!
Applicants must have some form of pharmacy experience, whether from the community or prison sector. As seen above, prior prison experience (and clearance) is NOT a must here, so it offers the chance for a Pharmacist to break into the prison sector, and kick start their career!
This prison service is seeking cover immediately (from mid/late July 2023 onwards), and the roles will be a contract length of 6-9 months.

– £23 – £36 per hour Umbrella , depending on experience
